Soul Fire’s Chocolate Black Sticky Rice & Coconut Porridge

No doubt, there will be many of you who have tried Black Sticky Rice Porridge before when looking for something new and delicious, but have you ever tried CHOCOLATE Black Sticky Rice and Coconut Porridge ?

Here is the delicious Soul Fire recipe for you to try this out yourself.

This is actually a summer porridge, but it is still just as delicious in winter.

1 Cup Black Sticky Rice

2 Cup Room Temperature Water

Bring this to the boil then add 1 x 400g Can of Coconut Milk or Cream. Keep on high until just a few heat bubbles rise, then turn down to low-medium, and let it steam through for 30mins. It should be thick and a bit watery when done.

At this point,turn the heat off and add 1 Tablespoon of Cocoa powder + 1 Tablespoon of Vital Bliss Protein Building Powder, stir in to keep thick. This makes it chocolaty and a little spicy.

Serve into a low shaped bowl and add fresh seasonal fruit on top. My favourite right now are Mangos, but also Peach, …mmmm and Nectarines.

***You can get more adventurous by adding things like chopped nuts such as Hazelnuts, Brazil Nuts, Cashews, Walnuts….OR maybe seeds such as Pepitas, Sesame seeds, Sunflower Seeds….OR maybe a little Coconut Yoghurt ! Yum! The fruit should make it sweet enough, however if you want it sweeter, try C Grade Maple Syrup or Honey……..Enjoy !

This may not be the best promotion for Soul Fire Cocoa Genesis I’ve ever done, but it is something that has to be said. NO amount of chocolate, food, exercise, healthiness can MAKE you happy! Why ? Because YOU ARE ALREADY HAPPY !!! Feelings of being unhappy is forgetting that you are happy. You are simply distracted by the very things that don’t support happiness. So be consciously aware and active about what is supporting happiness, and stop wasting time and energy looking for it. You’ll never “find IT”. BE Happy !

Confessions Of A Transcendental Chocolatier

and a little bit of fun….

How true it is that what seems like the worst possible senario can turn into a true blessing. Here’s a most recent example of “tales” from the Soul Fire Cocoa Genesis kitchen….
Yesterday, while waiting for the much honoured Organic Chocolate to melt at its perfect temperature to coat the once a year Chinese New Year Lychee and Almond Truffles, a kitchen colleague came by and accidentally knocked the melting chocolate double boiler into the water !!!

All chocolatiers would know that mixing chocolate mass with water IS NOT A GOOD THING ! So, after much swearing and cursing of such sabotage, the “destroyed” chocolate was taken, put into a bowl, then set aside, and fresh chocolate was chopped for the double boiler to start again. A breath was taken. Silence, and then another necessary breath was taken. A reconnection to the heart, free energy and subsequent movement was restored.

What was revealed in that moment, was an impulse to go to the Soul Fire Cocoa Genesis refrigerator. When the door was opened , lo and behold, sitting on the top shelf was fresh organic figs and peaches. I spontaneously remembered in that moment, that it was my dear friend’s birthday (today) and I had bought them to create a birthday cake for her. At the time of purchase, I didn’t know what I was going to make, as she is on a “special” diet, however, it was now revealed exactly what was required and it was exquisitely simple. Looking at the fruit, then turning to the bowl of what I only knew as destroyed chocolate, a whole new creation came to light. The consistency of the chocolate was perfect for such a mission to create this birthday “cake”. In my horrid dislike of wastage, the perfect solution was revealed, and the Divine heard my silence prayer for help. I instantly moved to take a chopping board and knife to cut the fruit into pieces, dipped them in the chocolate, placed them onto a tray to allow them the set. There was more chocolate left to be included in this creative play, so I reached out to the Soul Fire Cocoa Genesis pantry cupboard to find a jar of organic Brazil Nuts, and so they too were dipped in the chocolate. Once set, they were packed into containers and left in the refrigerator overnight.

This evening, the gift of this moment was unveiled. All the pieces were stacked onto a plate, and candles were placed in the gaps, they were lit at the moment the band stopped playing their song, and they took up their cello and guitar to play that one piece yet another time – Happy Birthday to you. It was another masterpiece of the Divine Plan of exquisite company and happiness as we sang, then shared this offering together with friends and strangers. Everyone was overwhelmed with the simplicity and flavors. My dear friend saying it was the best birthday cake she has ever received.
